Riding Programs
Class Overview
Riding programs have primary focus of skill building, through a four level system including: Beginner, Intermediate I, Intermediate II, and Show Team. Level tests are offered two times per year. Classes available for ages 3-adult at both locations.
Class Descriptions
Small Group Lessons (ages 6-adult): $40 per lesson includes:
- Weekly one-hour session
- Group of 4-5 individuals of similar riding level
- Individual horse past first session
- Recommended for mild special needs and full- functioning individuals
Show Team: $40 per lesson includes:
- Weekly one-hour session
- Individual horse
- Volunteer opportunities and apprenticeships
Upon completion of the first three riding levels, riders may be nominated to join the Hunkapi Show Team. Members are chosen based on riding and personal skills to represent our program at local showing events. Candidates are nominated bi-annually. Additional fees will be added when attending shows ($50 plus registration).
Private and Semi-Private Sessions: $50 each lesson includes:
- 30-45 minutes with an instructor
- Private or Semi-Private status is determined at intake and based on analysis of individual needs
- Individual horse past first session
Specialty Riding Classes
Tiny Trots (age 3-5 years): $40 per lesson includes:
- Half-hour session per week with group of two trots
- Volunteers as needed
- Individual horse past first session
