Harold’s Ball Wash Open

The 2009 Harolds Balll Wash Open will benefit the Hunkapi Horse Program. Hunkapi provides horse programs for special needs children (AD/HD, autistic, emotionally disordered, physically challenged) and at risk youth. The program was founded in 1999 as a research program at Arizona State University. Over the last 10 years, Hunkapi has partnered with numerous community organizations including: Save the Family, Boys and Girls Club, West Valley Child Crisis Center, UMOM New Day Center, Phoenix Day School for the Deaf, and Scottsdale Unified School District to provide educational and therapeutic horse programs to children in need. In September of 2008, Arizona State University canceled the Hunkapi program. Since then, Hunkapi has been working to start up as a private non profit. This year, more than ever we need your help to raise funds for this special program. Last year, the Harolds Ball Wash Open raised over 40K for Hunkapi! Your generous support of this tournament and program allows Hunkapi to continue to grow, offering free or reduced rate horse programs to underprivileged children throughout the valley.
